AwesomeCloud’s 2013 Roadmap

AwesomeCloud’s 2013 Roadmap

By | March 28, 2013

Today, businesses that offer cloud services are often delivered a set of services from multiple vendors and are expected to piece them together into solutions for their clients. They’re provided with the raw building blocks without any guidance to help build a complete solution. Worse, businesses often find that the resources they’ve been provided are not designed to meet their needs. They are then left to shoehorn their solutions into the infrastructures instead of architecting the infrastructures to meet their solutions.

As your cloud infrastructure partner in 2013, it is our mission to continue delivering to you an infrastructure that’s fast, reliable, flexible, and affordable. Most importantly, the infrastructure we provide enables you to deliver your solutions without having to re-architect them. It’s also our mission to give you the tools to continue growing your business. I want to share where we’re headed in 2013 as a result of the feedback our partners have provided, and what we’re delivering in 2013 to help you realize continued growth.

2013 Partner Big 5 Initiatives:

  1. Simplifying Operations with an Integrated Online Portal: Our partners told us that they want a single portal to manage their environment using the tools they are already accustomed to using. By leveraging the Service Provider Foundation (SPF) extension in System Center 2012, you’ll be able to integrate daily workflows into your existing processes in order to spend more time on selling instead of administration. 2. Improving Security and Reducing Complexity with Fortinet Security Products: Based on the feedback we’ve received from our partners, we’re deploying the Fortinet family of security products to alleviate the pain points caused by independent Firewalling and VPN services. By partnering with Fortinet, we’re empowering you to offer a much richer level of security for your clients. Read More…
  3. Deploying Cloud Workloads with Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V, and System Center 2012: Our partners have shared some of the business workloads they are looking to deploy to the cloud in 2013, including Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery, as well as Hosted Desktop and VDI. Windows Server 2012, Hyper-V, and System Center 2012 SP1 will make those workloads easier to deploy and manage. Read More…
  4. Maintaining Fixed Pricing: As cloud pricing continues to fluctuate throughout the industry, it’s becoming increasingly challenging to forecast expenses. Awesome Cloud Services will continue to offer you the same fixed pricing you expect, along with the ability to purchase the specific computing resources in the precise increments you need without being locked into discrete packages or plans. 5. Offering Security with Private Cloud Services: Many of our partners are interested in delivering dedicated (private) cloud environments to their customers. We are able to help make that happen. Whether you want to deliver your customers a single server with a self-service cloud environment on top, or a dedicated cluster – we can help to make those offerings a reality. Read More…

I know your next question: “Great Jess, but when can I have this? I need it now!” I assure you that we’re working to deliver sooner rather than later for our mutual benefit. Effective immediately, Windows Server 2012 is available as a supported-guest OS offering, along with the ability to provision machines with up to sixteen virtual processors and 64GB of memory. Although Windows Server 2012 is still in its infancy, we’re delivering all new network solutions on top of Fortinet appliances, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive!

As we continue implementing our Big 5 Initiatives through 2013 to help you grow your business, it’s imperative to maintain an open line of communication. The AwesomeCloud team is at your disposal and always available at your convenience.

Let’s continue the conversation with our new Twitter account using the @awecloud handle.
